The Academy VI: Rise of the Scorpions – T.Z. Layton

Football gets tougher when the competition moves to another level.

Leo K. Doyle is back in England after success with the junior national team, but now he faces a new challenge — stepping up to the U16s and proving himself alongside older, bigger and more experienced players.

At the same time, a fierce new rival has arrived in the Youth Premier League. Southwark F.C. Scorpions are determined to win at any cost, putting Leo and his teammates under pressure both on and off the pitch.

With competition for a place in the starting line-up, school, friendships and personal challenges all testing him, Leo must find a way to keep moving forward.

The Academy VI: Rise of the Scorpions is the sixth book in T.Z. Layton’s popular The Academy football series.

An exciting football story for readers aged 7–13 who love competition, teamwork, resilience and the journey of developing as a player.
